Latoya, our caregiver of the month for April 2023.
Latoya was chosen for this honor for her caring nature and for being such a valuable member of our team. Latoya was chosen as Caregiver of the Month because she exhibits all of the HomeChoice values, but especially teamwork. She is always willing to help out when needed. She is flexible if additional assistance for her client is requested. She is professional and responsive to our office staff and she consistently works to accommodate her clients needs. Latoya provided assistance to a client who was medically advanced and she provided assistance to this client until her very last days. She was highly respected, appreciated, and loved within the client’s family. She is with another client with the same condition and is highly appreciated by that family too.
Latoya has been with HomeChoice Home Care Solutions for almost 2 years. She has been a CNA for 25 years. Latoya fell in love with caregiving and helping others while she lived with and cared for an ailing family member. Latoya loves working for HomeChoice because she loves being a part of a team and not working alone. She also appreciates the open communication and support provided.
Latoya enjoys working with all of her clients. She especially likes to help them with their hobbies and interests so they can best enjoy their lives. Latoya dreams of owning her own care home or senior living facility.
Latoya loves playing with her grandson, making him laugh and says he is a “ball of joy”.

Sonita, our caregiver of the month for May 2023.
Sonita was chosen for this honor for her compassionate heart and dedication to our clients.
Sonita was chosen as Caregiver of the Month because she exhibits all of the HomeChoice values, but especially do the right thing by being flexible to her client’s needs. She is always willing to assist anyone and genuinely understands caregiving with a compassion that is truly heartwarming. Sonita is highly valued by all of her clients and everyone on the HomeChoice team!
Sonita has been with HomeChoice Home Care Solutions for almost a year. She has been a CNA for 15 years. Caring for her grandparents gave Sonita the inspiration to become a caregiver and to become a CNA. Sonita loves working for HomeChoice because she appreciates the opportunities to learn and to keep her skills updated.
Sonita enjoys working with all of her clients. She especially likes to talk and listen to their stories. She loves to learn about her clients’ lives and to incorporate what she learns into meaningful activities and conversations with them. In the next few months, Sonita plans on adding phlebotomy and med tech to her resume.
Sonita enjoys doing pedicures for the elderly because, among her many talents, she is also a licensed nail technician. She specializes in medical pedicures. Sonita is married and has five children.

Sonita, our caregiver of the month for May 2023.
Peggie was chosen for this honor because she is extremely dedicated, caring and compassionate and will always find a way to make her clients day. She was chosen as Caregiver of the Month because she exhibits all of the HomeChoice values, but especially because she is caring and compassionate. Peggie always puts her clients interests and needs first. She enjoys sitting outdoors with her current client, no matter the weather. She takes special care to ensure her clients’ safety by making sure they take needed cool down breaks when the weather is too hot.
Peggie has been with HomeChoice Home Care Solutions for five years. She has been in the caregiving field for 30 years. Her inspiration for caregiving began when she was a teenager. She loved being with elderly people talking with them about their childhood, especially her grandmother. She has a natural love for the elderly and it shines through in all she does. Peggie loves working for HomeChoice because teamwork is where you thrive, as a team member she likes the flexibility of work. She also likes how HomeChoice Home Care Solutions cares for its employees.
Peggie enjoys working with all of her clients. She loves to listen, to talk and to play games with her clients if they are able to do so. She also enjoys going on walks with her clients, if possible. Peggie’s plans for the future are to live, love, laugh and smile!
Peggie enjoys watching movies, walking, going to family gatherings, going to the beach and reading. Peggie cherishes her family- especially her 5 grandchildren.
