At HomeChoice Home Care Solutions, we are proud to honor caregivers who bring warmth, reliability, and heart to everything they do. For the month of March 2025, we are thrilled to recognize Loraine M as our Caregiver of the Month!
A Heart for Care, A Lifetime of Compassion
Loraine’s caregiving journey began at home—caring for her own parents during their final years. That deep, personal experience lit a spark that reignited after her retirement, leading her to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). For the past three years, and the last year with HomeChoice, she’s been faithfully delivering exceptional senior care services.
Bringing Experience, Empathy, and Understanding
Loraine entered the caregiving field because she loves helping people who are no longer able to do for themselves. Her empathy and maturity help her connect deeply with her clients. “Being a little older, I understand their limitations,” she shares. This understanding is part of what makes her so special—especially when it comes to delivering personalized home care assistance with patience and dignity.
Doing the Right Thing – Always
Loraine was chosen as Caregiver of the Month because she consistently demonstrates our core value of doing the right thing. She communicates changes in her clients’ conditions, offers to help wherever she’s needed, and takes great care to ensure her clients are receiving the highest quality in-home care for seniors. Her compassion and dependability are unmatched—and it shows in the way every client she assists absolutely adores her.
Moments That Matter
Whether it’s listening to her clients’ life stories or working on puzzles together, Loraine cherishes the small moments that make a big impact. “I’ve learned so much just by listening,” she says. Those genuine connections are the heart of what we strive for in our companion care services.
Rooted in Faith and Family
Outside of caregiving, Loraine enjoys reading, doing puzzles, and working with her church. Her faith is a guiding light in her life. She also values her close-knit family, including three older brothers and two younger sisters, and makes it a point to visit her hometown in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area at least once a year.
Looking Ahead
Loraine plans to continue working as long as she’s able, saying, “It helps keep my mind working.” She also has dreams of doing voiceovers for commercials—a goal we fully support!
