In celebration of National Pi Day on Tuesday, March 14, HomeChoice will be celebrating throughout the month of March by distributing on of their favorite pies, the Moon Pie. Pi Day is
celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “ π ”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.
A Moon Pie is a sweet treat, popular in parts of the United States, which consists of two round graham cracker cookies, with marshmallow filling in the center, dipped in a flavored coating. The snack is often associated with the cuisine of the American South where they are traditionally accompanied by an RC Cola. Today, Moon Pies are made by the Chattanooga Bakery in Chattanooga, TN.
During March, HomeChoice will be distributing Moon Pies to client, caregivers and referral sources to say “thank you”.
