HomeChoice Home Care Solutions was honored to be a platinum sponsor at the annual Social Worker Appreciation Luncheon organized by Eventing Inc. The 2024 luncheon was held at the NC State University Club with over 160 social workers from all over eastern North Carolina in attendance. Social workers have many roles in our communities, from working for the Department of Social Services, to assisting patients in hospitals and rehab facilities, to going to patients’ homes via home health after they have been discharged from the hospital. They help people in our community have safe and healthy lives. Often, they are a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen to, or a resource for much-needed help.
A fun part of this event is to “adopt a table”. For the 6th year, in addition to our sponsorship, HomeChoice Home Care Solutions adopted a table. Each “adopt a table” sponsor decorates their table with a theme they have chosen. Our theme this year was “Spa Day”. Each place at the 10-person table has a gift for each social worker. As part of the “adopt a table,” each sponsor creates a centerpiece gift that is given away at the end of the lunch. Eventing always has a fun way to award each centerpiece prize. This year playing cards were chosen and a ball was moved around the table according to the card drawn. Our winner from Durham Department of Social Services was thrilled to win a spa bag with a one-hour Hand and Stone Massage, a bathrobe, a bottle of champagne, and a lot of goodies to pamper herself. We also provided two door prizes that included $25 gift cards to Ulta and Target. Through a business card drawing, we awarded a $50 Target gift card to a well-deserving social worker at one of our local rehabilitation centers. Mom’s Meals provided a delicious lunch to all of the social workers in attendance.
We enjoyed meeting all of the social workers at our booth. We love interacting with everyone, learning about what they do and how they serve their communities. Thank you to all of the incredible social workers who attended this year. We look forward to seeing all of you and more friends next year!
